In virtue of the University Grant Commission, aspirants with a <strong>4-year UG <\/strong>degree can directly pursue PhD if they have <strong>75% aggregate marks<\/strong> or an equivalent grade.\n<BR><BR>\nStudents can directly take the Net Eligibility Test regardless of their interest in the <strong>JRF (Junior Research Fellowship)<\/strong>.\n<BR><BR>\nThe previous eligibility criteria for NET required a master\u2019s degree with at least <strong>55% <\/strong>or equivalent aggregate. On Sunday, the UGC chairman made the following announcements:-\n<BR><BR>\n\u201c<em>Candidates with\u00a0<\/em><em>four-year UG degrees\u00a0<\/em><em>can now directly pursue\u00a0<\/em><em>PhD\u00a0<\/em><em>and appear for\u00a0<\/em><em>NET<\/em><em>.
